So I was working on the BABE car this weekend, and decided to fix the broken tail light. It was wrecked in the back, and the lens was demolished. Being that the hole for the tail light was no longer the proper shape, and that tail lights for a Fox wagon aren't the easiest to come by, I had to improvise. I hadn't quite decided how to fix it yet, but I some how knew Great Stuff and a trip to Autozone were in order. While at Autozone, I was looking for some kind of lenses to cover the bulbs, which were still intact. No dice. What I did find was a tail light repair kit that came with adhesive backed plastic lenses in red, amber, and white. So I proceeded to mount the factory bulb holder into the quarter panel. Colleen (my girlfriend) suggested I use some scrap wood that she found on the ground to wedge it in there. Worked like a charm. It was still kinda loose, so in with the Great Stuff. I let it sit over night, and checked out the foam situation this morning. Trimmed it down a bit. I then took a scrap piece of plexiglass and traced the opening. Adding the adhesive backed lens repair stuff came next. Then drilling a few holes and viola!
