Do you grease brake caliper wedges on wedge calipers? They seem like they should be, but I dont know

By wedges do you mean shims that go on the back of the brake pads?

I use a silicone grease on the wedges on my X1/9.  I  also use a Teflon spray mold release product on the sliding faces of the hydraulic cylinder. To gameboy, no, he does not mean the back of the pads. Think old Fiat here, the wedges go between the caliper bracket and the hydraulic cylinder, 2 per side.

High temp brake lube should be applied sparingly to the wedges and other metal on metal moving parts of the brake caliper and pads after cleaning rust from those surfaces. Up here in the Northland it also slows the inevitable rust and rust jacking of pads and caliper slides.
