Bissell Little Green Machine.
I wouldn't have a pet or kid without one.
Also makes an easy wedding present. $60 - $100 depending on options.

forget that noise, i don't have carpet. or mats. or a heater. or wipers. or anything to get dirty beyond one kirkey seat cover. vacuum for the mouse poo and odoban to make it stop stinking and i'm good to go. plus, with no carpet and a 3" race muffler under the passenger seat area, solid drivetrain mounts, and exhaust exit out passenger rocker, the noise is so deafening i don't need to worry about all those weight adders. i just need to worry about my hearing. probably going to bring earplugs. you want angry? this thing is angry.
and, if anyone coming is good with edelbrock carbs and promises not to sabotoge my junk, i'll take any help i can get because i'm used to tuning holleys and know i'm leaving something on the table right now.

Have you ever been to sandusky ohio? It's cedar point and the rest is, ummmm, not as nice as cedar point. They do have one of the biggest Dollar Tree stores around.

It's a vast wasteland.

Coming to the Challenge in 2016. https://www.youtube.com/embed/3x17ax8hGZM
Ooooh, Lots of turbo noises. I like the person at the end saying-what was that?
Still not gonna help any of the 9 second cars go around corners in '15 though.

The "now" 2016 project was plan A.
The "now" 2015 project was/is plan B. Don't worry about any cornering or any Impala's being built for the Challenge.
Car should be ready today, final detailing going on and a couple of new hose fittings, fresh drag rubber will be arriving this week.
Got my car started for the first time yesterday, now to break it in and iron out the bugs. No videos yet but here is a sneak peek.
I'm bringing my Volvo 850 that I bought off pimpm3 a couple of months ago. I have to admit, I haven't done a sweet thing to it yet! We've bought a house and moved recently (we live just over an hour away) and it's been hectic. I need to install the manual boost controller (so I can screw it wide open ), replace a front indicator assembly, and repair an annoying coolant leak that's just become apparent.
A couple of questions for a noob: I don't have a helmet - do we need to provide our own? Unfortunately, I'll need to leave early on the Saturday (probably mid afternoon or so) - we have international guests visiting that weekend so I'll probably put a curse on myself for such poor form what does the general schedule look like? Will I be missing much?
Helmet: loaner helmets will be there for you to use. Helmet only required for Autox.
LONG PANTS and closed toe shoes required to be a driver in the Drag portion! Helmet not required.
Autox will happen on Friday, rain or shine.
Drags are intended for Friday night but they will not run in the rain. If it does rain, drags will be held in the beginning of Saturday.
Concourse is intended for Saturday (but could be moved to Friday evening if rain.)
Saturday night will be awards banquet and event finale at hotel. Your entry will include dinner Sat night (Awards Banquet) but you can likely sell that to another competitor. Just ask around.
Some help please. I am looking to purchase tires for the $2015, as "Your 1st 4 tires" don't count against the budget. What level of tires does this cover?? Can I buy NT-01s or similar? I did not see anything in the rules, are the rules about this?? Thank you!!

Any 4 tires. You can buy NT-01s or Hoosier A7s. Anything you want.
Keep in mind that non-DOT slicks might require other rules to engage, like a roll-cage if you have a fast car in the drags.
You'll need to log in to post.
