Today was a GRM day at Summit Point. A number of forum members were there.
Giant Purple Snorkewacker on the Jefferson Circuit
And on the Rallycross "Barn Course" we had:
Irish44j
moxnix
phenryiv1
And one other whose name I have forgotten. Sorry!!
Plus JtspellS was spectating at the Rallycross and I was running around taking pictures.
Damn. Had I helped w/ the PDX instructor clinic I'd have been on Shenandoah.
But I stayed home and de-ghettofied the shop/garage/yard.
Damn I did not even know that they were running Jefferson circuit today, Nice meeting everyone today!

And I would have seen you and included you in the pictures. I spent part of the day over there with my friend Brian.
Wow how'd I miss this? If you're gonna have a GRM day post about it? I had to work like 13 or so hours but I would have called in sick lol.
Nice, was good to see you again Hal. The last photo is either Jim or Mike Golden (I always get their almost-identical cars mixed up), but I'm not sure what his name is on here.
Also on the way home I passed a Touareg towing a trailer with a black race-setup newer STi on it, and the STi had a GRM sticker over the license plate area and the driver gave me a wave as I passed by going up "the mountain" on Rt.7. Not sure who it was, but maybe he'll chime in here.

Tom spend half his day riding along with me, lol.....Apparently I drive faster with a passenger since I put down a couple of the fastest RWD runs of the day with him aboard

oh, didn't know if you had looked at the end of the day or not. I didn't see the PR sheet up, since MR we had 11 cars so it took up the whole page.
I'm gonna be at the next one so I can let irish know my feelings for Subaru in person :).
Seriously though when's the next PDX, RallyX, etc there?

This!!!! Yes it is a 10 hour drive and means staying at the Knights Inn but it would have been fun to get the car out for a shakedown.

Ah, but you see....when at RallyCross events, I hate Subarus. Especially Blue ones.
I just got home... man, what a great 3 days. Hal, it was nice to meet you, wish I could have made it over to meet some of the rest of you guys but... instructing and caring for the car does not leave a lot of free time.
cool pix too
Looks like fun! I REALLY want to rallyx the Vic, but its just not in the budget for now. Maybe I can do the last one or two of the season and go ahead with mounting up my snow tires.

most events at summit you can run pretty much whatever tire you want. On the course this weekend it was more like tarmac than dirt. My star specs would have been faster than my rally tires probably :)
You should get in on the 2-day event that ends the first half of the season in June....it's a blast and you end up with like 20 runs over the 2 days on all three courses. Well worth the money for that much seat time on course (vs. autocross at least).
Hmm, I'll keep that in mind. How much is registration for the June event? I'm not currently an SCCA member, nor do I even have an up to date helmet. Do they have rental helmets for my XXL pumpkin sized head?
