What does the future of grassroots-level motorsports look like? What if we told you that you have the ability to help shape that future?

I wonder what Wallens charges for a fee? Experienced corporate speakers get between $10k and $20k. I suspect he won't share that info with us.
We're not charging anything, and we're always happy to give back to the community. JG and I volunteer our time on SCCA advisory boards, too.
Sounds really professional- congratulations!
Be cooler if you did it with one of those parrots on your shoulder.
Or is it ducks? Or does the other guy have parrots?

I forgot to add that this seems insane, though I believe it knowing how big companies work.
In reply to Tom Suddard :

Uh, both
Thanks and, yeah, my birds are free range. :)
(I did just clean and refill our feeder and bird bath.)
So when the SCCA membership claims that their volunteer boards are a bunch of bird-brains, there is some truth to that notion?
Yup, come hear/see me tonight–as in Wednesday, January 22.
I have my notes and Zoom background ready.
I thought I heard David say that lunch is on him if I bump this post up. Must be that speaking money or something.
Seriously, though, should be a good listen tonight.
When will the DVD be available for those unable to catch his performance in person? Or is it being livestreamed?

Per the article, David is on at 5p Eastern today.
No word about the DVD. Maybe a VHS, though, that you can pick up at the local Blockbuster?

I cut purchase orders for these types of gigs all the time...........you would indeed be aghast at the prices.
I won't even go into the attitudes beyond some of these folks think they are doing you a favor.
Back to the scheduled programming...............................

That sounds super groovy, but the closest Blockbuster is in Bend, Oregon.
In reply to 1988RedT2 :
Maybe they deliver? DoorDash? Uber Eats? GrubHub?
Time correction: David goes on at 5p Eastern/4p Central.
I guess it's four o'clock somewhere, right?
Hey, so this happened. Thank you, SCCA, for including me, and thanks to everyone who tuned in. (Afterward, I got a nice note from SCCA President Mike Cobb.)
