What does SSS stand for?
SSS = Completely unmodified cars. (with an oil change). Not sure of the actual acronym. These series are run on a spec tire and we usually set a PP limit on the room to keep people honest.
We will also some times refer to a limited tuner series or the mucele car tune. This is a limited tune that usually includes power adders to a specific PP and a limit on how much you can use the power limiter (see below)and sometimes includes a transmission change.
The standard "GRM" tuner series is usually to a specified PP with spec tire. Everything else can be tuned / upgraded. The only limit is that we only allow a maximum of %10 power reduction (to %90)
Lately we have been mucking around with using power to weight instead of PP. This seems to be having some good results and is making cars very even. This came out of us figuring out that there were discrepancies between cars even with them tuned to the same PP
New season thred has been started. Tonight will be a mock run not for points so grab a couple cars and join the fun.
Tonight is going to be Spec Mazda FDs (tuner series) and what we call SSS (as purchased in the game with an oil change no tuning) Honda S2000s. see here for the specifics.

The format is:
I am the host
I am usually on line by 8:00 eastern for test and tuning.
We run a reset race at 9:00 eastern.
Then qualifying begins. Usually lasts ten min or so.
Then we run two ten min races with the second starting as a refers grid based on the first race finishing order.
Then we have a ten min qualifying for the second series and two more races using the same reverse grid for the second race.
Lots of fun. Good racing and no season points involved so new people are encouraged to attend.
I can not stress it enough beginners are welcome. I will gladly give people car setups and any other help or tips that I can as will everyone else. It is to our advantage to make people fast. The fun is close racing even I it I for last place. I have had some of my best races competing for last place.
