GRM license plate frame

I see that these are no longer carried in the store.

anyone have one laying around they'd be willing to sell me?   New Boxster is in need.

I'm two days away from home.  I'll see if I still have a new one when I get home.

Man when I think of the massive box of these things that we used to have to move around to get to other stuff in the office...

I managed to salvage one or two that weren't completely oxidized and crumbling and have one on my wife's Ioniq. But, yeah, they're collector's items. If you have one put it in a plastic bag now.

I think I'm going to gold-plate mine and wear it as a necklace, à la Flavor Flav.

At some point we'll comission another run of them, but yeah they took up a ton of space, got damaged during shipping and were pretty expensive to make, IIRC.

I had a friend make his own haha. He took a blank frame, covered it in stickers and coated it in resin. It sadly, broke last year when he got rear ended but it was cool.

I was hoping to solve it this way, but you need a pretty big print bed compared to what most consumers have. Maybe someone with a university connection?

I have a special one, at least special to me.  About a month before he died J.K. Jackson reached in the bed of his dually and handed me one and said something to the effect, "Here you need this."   Now I'm afraid to put it on the GR86 for fear it might age poorly in the Florida sun, so its on the wall of the shop.

I've got a printer big enough to make a few of them at a time, but it's already running nearly 24/7 for Caliper Garage which is why I had them injection molded last time. Shipping them was the hardest part since they're fragile--maybe next time they'll be an in-person exclusive or something like that and we could bring them to events.

Shipped today, FedEx says it will arrive Thursday 10/10

The yard is a mess.  4 major trees down.  No electricity, water, or internet, spent all day in mud boots with a chainsaw in hand.  But...at the end of the day, I had a rad lil present waiting for me.  Went to the garage, strapped on the headlamp and screwed on my sweet new frame!   Thank you Patrick!! 🤘
