I put it on my watch list yesterday. Keep the spares, definitely the spare 4AGZE engine, fix the head gasket and flip the car, profit.
Although I'd be tempted to swap the Konis and other suspension bits too. Bonus- trip to FL for the holidays.
It gives me no joy to do this, by the way. But between the '91 MR2, the F500, the outgoing Camaro and incoming Mustang, the daily drivers, five parrots and 14 magazines a year I had to trim something off. I'd be exceptionally happy if it stayed in the GRM orbit.

So you guys are keeping the 91 and selling the 85?
Shameless threadjacking:

If you miss out on JG's white one and still need a MR2-related excuse for a trip to central Florida I've got you covered.
Good luck JG.

What I really want is to sell all my stuff so I can afford to buy yours :)
I am driving back from Florida in a few weeks in a full-size van with a Class II trailer hitch. I really don't need another MR2 project...

Damn, still only at $811
That's crazy. It's pay $812 for it--assuming, of course, that I can store it at JG's because I'm all out of space.
I see the problem. You've been watching TV instead of working on cars.
Still under $1g with just over 2 hours to go...

$1402, someone got a good deal.
I think I still have an adapter for a Grant steering wheel if you want to do an upgrade. It's your's for postage.

When I bought my Supercharged MR2, the guy selling it told me that he sent the supercharger oil in to be tested and it came back the same as Honda Power steering fluid.
First text I get after the auction closes: "Don't tell my parents."
I told him to save his "Don't tell my parents" scrip for something way better. Can't imagine this would have stayed secret too long.

Well, it was a worthy story to write a magazine article about buying a car from your magazine owning parents co-worker and publishing the article in the magazine without knowledge of said parents.
Now that it is out on the internet though I'm not sure you can get the cat back.
For the record, that wasn't the first text. It was like the 7th or 8th.
Congrats Tom! I think everyone needs to own one at some point. I've had maybe a dozen or so and still can't walk past one without stopping. Well...if you ever see one anymore. There's nothing like a mid engine car!

On my second one. Considered this one...
