Does anyone here have experience with Hankook Ventus Z214?
I do. We ran them on a dual-driver SMF Integra pushing 415whp. One set lasted nearly the entire season. My one comment was that they didn't make much noise before breaking away, but I got used to it quickly.
I plan on buying a set for my H-stock Miata this spring. C71 compound.
Me too, also the C71 compound. I think they're 95% of the performance of the Hoosiers for 75% of the price. With my infrequent usage, they last a couple of seasons before getting hard and slippery, despite still having lots of rubber.
I've run the C51's for a while now and agree on the both the Hoosier (R6) and "no noise" comments above. I turn similar lap times on Nitto NT-01's and feel they're a little more "talkative" though. The Nitto's are a slightly better value if you're looking for longevity.
Going to pick up some C71 Kooks for TT hot laps only. Probably go back to Nitto's when the C51's go south.
I have been running V710s since they came out. The reviews I have read sound like the Hankooks are better.
I replaced a set of V710s with the C71 Hankooks, and I love them. Having never run Hoosiers, I can't compare, but they are 1000% better than old hard V710s. On the Abomination, which weighs damn near nothing, they'll be old and hard before they wear out.
Yeah, I think that's the way I'm going once the budget allows. Anything's got to be better than 5 year old road race tires for autocross.

ran them this past weekend ... they were great 225 - 45 - 13's .... ( C51 compound) the folk at TreadZone said " 85% of the Hoosier grip for 65% of the price and 250% of the life... took a half a second off my best ever lap at CMP ... and that was in the COLD high both days ~ 45°... started out each morning about 20°... so even in the cold there was good grip
I ran the C71 in autocross compound for 1 1/2 seasons. Thought they were great for the price. Liked them better than the V710's, no experience with the A6 though. Would definitely buy another set.
I have C71's on my civic and RS3's on the mustang. Very impressed in both cases with cost and ability
