Why did the guy on the right fender dive the one on the left?
It didn't look like a loss of traction type side step.

No idea how accurate any of that is, and the forum that they're getting their information from seems to require registration to be able to read, and I won't participate in that silliness...

FTFY
The Chevy dealer I pass in NJ has a '99 FRC on the lot for $19.8K right now...
I saw this on another last week when it only had about 600 views. It was a given that it would go viral.
It's a hilarious clip because the narrator knew what was going to happen, but it does bother me that they could have easily killed a pedestrian or cyclist. There was a LOT of stupidity present at that moment.
I thought it was going to be this clip before I watched it: Corvette crash
Would have been happier too if the guy filming wasn't the DRIVER of the following vehicle. Just as moronic and stupid but at slower speed.
this is why i stay away from other vettes on the road. i can handle my car, most of them never push hard enough to know where the ragged edge is. then they feel the need to flex their nuts, push the loud pedal all the way, and wind up all over the internets getting laughed at

That reminds me...
I had a husband and wife duo in his and her vettes in front of me on the way to a cruise in. C6 and C5 respectively. The C5 on a slow sweeper almost nailed the guardrail due to some sort of oversteer. This was maybe 10 over on a backroad. I too stay away from vettes.
This vid hit the local news here today. Dumb people will do dumb things regardless of what they drive. These dummies just had more money to burn than the rest of us. Don't blame Corvette drivers, blame bad drivers.
I tend to think of the local Viper crowd when I think of BS like that, I remember at a freakin C&C a guy got so arse-happy in his viper just cruising in (jackrabbit starts and slamming the brakes to show off the engine) that he locked up both front brakes to keep from plowing into the back of the viper in front of him. then someone else nearly backed off the side of the parkinglot (funny place, rather than curbs they had gravel between rows of spaces with a little curbed island with a tree). funny thing is all the porsches and ferraris and the lone Gallardo Superleggera that showed up, along with everything else, had no trouble parking like normal people
Please, please stay away from C5s since they are a death trap and known to reduce fertility. I need to keep the prices down. $19,800 is way high on a 99FRC.
Just think what these guys would have done had they been driving with a B16 under the hood. All that torque....
