One of the guys from work bought a 500. He's not a car guy, but he loves it...I overheard him telling some people, "Oh, those crashes you saw online were American cars. You should get a foreign car like this one. They're much safer." I didn't have the heart to tell him that physics doesn't have a national jurisdiction, or that even if it did, his car is built on the same platform as a Ford Ka.
Xenophilia is mildly annoying. When it is combined with ignorance, the effect is greatly exacerbated.
