After a posting on Facebook about the "Time Attack" Scion TC and how an argument ensued over "who cares if its functional, it looks stupid...", I am glad that this crowd is intelligent.

Retarded, I mean I know it's fast, but still.
Neat. Lemme know how many oil pans you have put a hole in because how low you are...
I'm kinda scared the passion of a good, well set up car is quickly disappearing in the current crowd of stance, static vs. airbags crowd
We also appreciate Time Attack TC's with spoilers the size of the Greek Debt even if they look a little funny.
Actual quote from my personal experience:
Me: So when are you going to get it (the car) corner weighted?
Friend: Oh dude, I did. I got the wheel weights hidden behind the spokes so nobody can see them...

+1, especially with fender flares

I absolutely hate them...
I prefer the more recent awd time attack scion tc, myself.
it's just the argument over aerodynamics period. Trying to read their explanation on how aerodynamics work was enough to make me quit everything automotive and start venturing into the world of building bird houses
How do bird house aerodynamics work?

Hurrrrrrrrrrr why fwd car need wing in back? Wing is for traction over drive wheels for acceleration, right?

to prevent lift at high speeds?
some people just don't "get" aero.. they think ground effects and big wings will automatically make a car go 200mph.. a perfect example: a guy that works here on day shift has a late 90's Cavalier that he built a turbocharged engine for.. said eh spent like $5k building the ohv 2.2 to make power.. took it to a chassis dyno, got 350hp at the wheels, which is respectable for a car that's maybe 2500 pounds.. but for some reason, he honestly thinks he's going to be able to hit 200mph on the interstate (!!!) just because he put an RK Sport body kit and a big wing on it.. the body kit has a HUGE grille opening and the wing is upside down from how it should be to provide downforce, which he says is cool because airplanes have their wings like that and they go way faster than 200mph.. yes, he actually said that.. so keep your eyes peeled this spring for a news story about a neon green and white Cavalier that gets airborne on I94 in the area of Fergus falls, MN..
No it increases lift at high speed so there is more weight on the front wheels, everyone knows that.

Don't know about bird houses but I saw a movie a while back about a dog named Snoopy that flew a dog house in WWI. He claims to have had a number of epic battles with the Red Baron himself.
It is a front wing conspiracy. Lies. All Lies.

Ugh.. I went through that with the Hyundai peoples... they were convinced that a FWD never needs a rear wing

I have one phrase to sum up this thread:
Hellaflush (99%) vs Hellafunctional (1%)

We are the 1%.
Way to get political.
Wow that wasn't the intent, sad day when a group of people can claim dominion over a statistical relationship and make others think of it regardless of context...

I LIVE in MN and I will still never understand why everyone likes J-bodies up here.
