Good question, right? So, have we been loving on our cars? Well, let’s just say that our Garage Rescue Miata has been sitting a bit. How long? Two months, maybe?

Don’t worry, the car is okay. Blame things that have just kept the car indoors: poor weather, conflicting events and a few short weeks on the D.L.

But this past …

No. sad

The Bentley is collecting dust due to a leaking AC compressor I haven't had time to change.

The Mustang has been forced into DD duties by my middle son while he goes through the valve train in his Fiero.

The XJ needs to spend time on the lift finding a driveline vibration but I haven't had time to replace the concrete under the lift.

Too much to do and too little time.

Hitting some shows that require a good long drive in order to arrive. Car seems to get better the more I drive it.

After a 53 week long headgasket(then it turned out to be head, then the replacement head was bad, then...) replacement I have my M3Ti back from the shop. It's 10 months out of inspection but I chanced it and drove it down to the dentist for a filling this morning.

OEM Audio+ setup goes into the BRZ a week from Monday.

Replaces the 1" and 4" speakers in the dash on both sides, 6.5" drivers in the doors, and puts a quad-coil 8" in the trunk. I think total system power is around 450 watts.

No. I need to get the Miata ready to sell and change the oil on the BRZ, but life keeps interfering.

Don't know why I waited until it was hot as heck, but finally did my brake/wheel/hub/axle swap the past couple of weekends.

Just received the final piece, a spacer for the brake booster made by SendCutSend.

Received 6 days from ordering, not bad.

Sorta glad to see I’m not the only one.

And, yes, I backed in to the spot at Waffle House to get that photo.

I think it's the colors and more plentiful lighting but 7-11 somehow works.

No, I just went out and had the driver's door lock break again. At least it started after sitting for a while.

Negatory.

Ranch wagon needs a new holley fuel pump.

Galaxie well.... everything from a headliner to mouse removal to suspension and alignment.

Mustang needs exhaust but that requires money. Just driving it prn.

Avalanche just gets driven.

I got these for my Corvette about three weeks ago.

But it's 109 degrees here in Texas and I just don't feel like getting under the car right now.

YES! Just replumbed the single master cylinder in the A100 pickup to a dual, new water pump, radiator, all new insulation in the doghouse between the seats, cleaned out 57 years of munge from the rear floor, pressure washed 57 years of oil/dirt coating from eng/trans.

In reply to 759NRNG :

It's possible to do entirely from underneath, but I had the seats and doghouse out anyway. One of those" while I'm here", 3-4 times over for the various things I did. Started with a wiggly, but not yet leaking water pump. And the seats remove with just 2 quick release pins. Not the safest vehicle all around.

Yep.  Drove the RX3.9 to work today and started doing some work on it.  I even ordered an AC fitting crimper so I can have AC in challenge budget!

To be honest, I should have left the Miata engine in place for the Mrs to enjoy the car. My bad.

On the other hand, since she does not want to drive the car, I "Could" consider if, maybe, perhaps, somehow, the L33 in the corner might fit in the engine bay?   With a TKO 5 speed gearbox. Not saying I gonna, just that I could.

I've been showing the Datsun how much I love it by not taking it apart.

I have a cylinder head with larger valves that I could install but I will not becuase the car is running sweetly and I am appreciating it the way it is.
