I couldn't find a thread searching, and it was in this month's PCA magazine:

I like this way too much.

I suspect very Boxter-like

Beautiful. It needs some custom black Fuchs with polished rims.

It was at the Hershey Porsche swap meet this year when I saw it. I didn't personally like it very much...

The windshield rake lets it down.

I think that I'd like to see a coupe version.

Exactly, from the front 3/4 view it seems OK, then you get the profile view and it kind of falls apart. And I am a big fan of the classis Karmann Ghia.

I like it. The past few years have seen more and more of old bodies on late platforms. Most turn out poorly, but I like this.

That would be a speedster if it belonged to me.

The Boxster/Ghia idea is a good one. It's what I was trying to picture (except for that windshield rake) when reading the Resto-Mod thread in the Classics forum where the talk was about a Miata/Ghia mash up.

Keep it AT LEAST rear engined if not air-cooled.

thing is.. if you look hard at it. It is -not- a rebodied Boxster. It is a Boxster with Ghia looking parts grafted on

^This. It explains the rake of the windshield. This is a Boxster, not a Karmann Ghia.

I don't either. Something is just not right in the porportions. It kind of looks like a Ghia that needs to spend a month at the Biggest Looser Ranch.

Close.

I was hoping someone put a boxster s engine in a Karmann Ghia.

I don't really car for that car.

I really don't like it. I love Boxsters and Karman Ghia's, but this just doesn't work fr me. Not only is the windshield angle wrong, but the body looks too smooth, the bumpers are wrong, the wheels too big etc etc. I wish they'd kept it more stock looking. A+ for effort, D- for execution.

Change the windshield rake, black out the wheels and change the mirrors and I would like it. As it is now, not really.

I'm surprised it took 20 posts for this to come up.

It is a bit better than the T-bird, but still feels off.

That corvette could work with more original windshield/mirror/door handle/wheel. For all the body work that has gone into it, the door handles and mirrors could have easily been done, but 'm unsure of the work needed to do the windshield. Plus the most effort for the wheels would be finding the right ones.
