/\ Are you listed on MFG.com? I've found it's a really good way to get jobs like OP's done. Provided you've got a print you can put up, I've had good luck finding shops willing to throw odd jobs in on large orders for a reasonable price, then mail it UPS.
Moparman, if you had a dead CV shaft, could you take two 1/4" slices off it?
Easier to clean up the cuts on a lather than to start all over.
Yeah I could try and hack it off with either a sawzall or my chop saw. The width of the flange should be the right thickness I'd just need it trued up and a recess for the axle milled out.
