So I just checked the current brain bucket which is marked snell 2000. Am I understanding evildky and wbjones correctly that I can roll thru next season before the purchase? This would be nice as i could spend this cash on some updated harnesses... It would also let me buy the 2015 helmet or the 2010 on a sweet discount... Anyone have the fine print on this?

I fear my next helmet purchase. There was literally one helmet on the market that fit my gigantic head in 2010, and that was a shoei rf1100 xxxl. You read that right, 3xl. I have the giantest head ever. That berkeleyer was 450 bucks and was literally the only thing I could get to let me knock down cones. I don't want to know what a w2w will run me.

I'm not so sure about some of you guys that live in big cities, but in my small town, the motorcycle shop only has motorcycle helmets; some of which are Snell 2010 approved. They didn't have G-force, Simpson, or other brand racing helmets.

as long as you're not planning on any w2w (Lemons/Chump or others) M rated helmets will be fine … unless things have changed a lot since I last checked, M helmets are accepted with most Track day groups … as long as they're new enough …

I would check the web site for any organizations requirements before spending the money … for SCCA autocross, M is fine
