My wifes daily driver 2008 Civic Coupe needs new front struts.

My job is to find, purchase and install them. I am looking to get the loaded struts so I can just unbolt, bolt on and get on with life.

This is a Civic coupe and this is important because there is some large difference in the part between the coupe and sedan. (both in part and price)

I went to RockAuto and found :
GABRIEL G57390 Ultra ReadyMount

GABRIEL G57391 Ultra ReadyMount

one is a drive and one is a passenger side.

HOWEVER, i cannot tell if its for the coupe or sedan and my digging up with the part number returned nothing.

I want to buy them today before the discount expires.

Can anyone help me out if the parts listed above can be used on the Civic Coupe?

Alternately, can I just bolt on the loaded complete struts for the sedan and have that work just as well?

I found complete sets (spring and strut) on Amazon for my 2006 EX coupe this past summer.

Good selection, but as you note coupes and sedan sets are different...

It's a shame you don't want to mess with changing just the strut. RockAuto has KYB, coupe specific, struts listed. That's what I put on my Civic and was very pleased with them.

You're not in North Texas are you ? I have a fantastic spring compressor to make swapping struts safe and lightning fast. Beats having to choose from the limited selection of loaded struts out there.

I would be very interested in the details of this "fantastic spring compressor" as the setup I use neither safe or fast. Pitchers and/or linkys would be greatly appreciated.

It's a side loader. Not a damn man killer like those dual all-thread parts store rentals.

You can get them from 50 bucks up to 500 or so. Choose your brand. Mine is towards the lower end of the scale. I got it from Amazon. It takes all of the stress out of strut changes.
