RX-8, because then you can say that you drive a BRAPAPAPAPAPAPAPAPAPAP. Bonus points if you strap a turbo kit to it, because then it's a BRPAPAPAPAPAPAPAPAPAAAAAAAAAAP STUTUTUTUTU. (I love rotary noises)

RX-8 DON'T BRAP!

Side intake side exhaust engines run smooth as silk, awesome for having nice clean emissions but not very good for making low end or mid range power. For that you need peripheral exhausts and bridged intakes (see avatar...) or peripheral intakes...

Check out my spyder build if you're looking into them. I think they rock, mine sets ftd at most events I attend.

Fuel cut on a 1ZZ-FE is around 6250, it likes to be shifted at 6, it is not what I'd call "high strung" peppy, and buzzy in a good way, but not high strung. My old Sunfire with the pushrod 2200 redlined a little past 6000 too, and that was literally a truck engine, it wasn't much faster shifting at 6000 vs 4000.

I'd define high strung as anything that has a very noticeable powerband, and runs like dogE36 M3 outside of it. Whether it comes on the cam and starts pulling like crazy at 3000 or 6000 makes little difference.

Like my Subaru was. Made very little power below 3000. Like, it couldn't maintain 60mph at 2800 in 5th. Came on like flipping a switch at 3500. Also made only noise over 5200ish. But in the 1700rpm-wide band, it really... well "went" would be an overstatement. It really got to be adequate.

One had to row the shifter a lot in order to move acceptably in traffic.

The Yugo is like that too, almost like driving a chainsaw. If you need to go NOW, you launch to lock the clutch around 3000, try to keep it as wound up as possible, and shift around 6500. Gunning it at cruising revs just made it bog. It's really just making noise past 6000 with the stock cam, but it's glorious side exit glasspack Italian noise.

S2000 is a beautiful sports car, but will always be beat or feel overpriced. MRS is an insect of a car, but mid-engined, so of more divine spirit.

S2000 looks spectacular in yellow, like few cars do. The only other vehicle that looks appropriate in yellow is a Ferrari.

(The K8 Hayabusa motor in the race car starts to rev limit at about 10,200. After running a GSXR1000 for a couple seasons it feels positively relaxed by comparison.

My 22re falls on its face at 4500. Potato. Potato. Lol. "High strung" is a subjective term that is ALWAYS up to MY interpretation in MY thread. /incessant nitwit nitpicking.
