Getting Isuzu specific parts for those is no treat. Every time I get any Isuzu that's been hit I curse their existence; even obtaining a bumper end cap is a PITA.
Those things were gawdawful slow, and even though that one's nice, eventually it will rust like an English car, including the frame.
I'd liken it to an International Scout: slow, capable, rust prone, spotty parts availability, unique but not in a 'has resale value' sort of way. Good luck selling it when you tire of it's 'uniqueness'.
I just bought one a few weeks ago!
I paid $2250 for mine, but it has the V6 and the automatic, both make it more valuable, at least around here. It's in about the same shape cosmetically, my paint is very good, and the only real body damage is a few door dings. Mine is also completely rust free. The only flaw in my interior is a slightly ripped driver's seat and a small tear in the carpet on the left rear wheel-well.
The guy was asking $2695, and would probably have gotten it. We walked in, pointed out it needed a battery and front CV joints soon, mentioned we had $2200 in cash right now, and drove away shortly thereafter.
It's been an awesome truck, I love it. It will go almost anywhere, too!
I had one of the early 2 door models. It was very slow, but very utilitarian and I have fond memories. That said, the transmission/transfer case was one unit, and one heavy motherberkleyer - food for thought if you ever have to do the clutch.

Yeah I had forgotten about that (yet I even commented in that thread)!
The more I read about the little suckers, the more I dig them. They can't be slower than my first truck, an 87 Ram 50 with the 2.0L. If only he'd have come down in price a bit more, with hard-to-find-up-here lack of rust I'd have gone really low 3s. I'll make another pass once the Cruiser sells, unless something else catches my ADD-addled mind.
