Thank you.

My resolution was no resolution.
The leak is really insignificant, and the price tag to fix it at a dealer was $2K for the water pump only. It would have been $4K to do it the way I wanted (replacing all the wear items while in there). I couldn't justify that much.
So I'm driving it, and waiting to see if it gets worse.
My opinion of the Ecoboost F150? I've owned this truck for a year and put 50,000 miles on it. It's a dream to drive. It does everything well, and the Ecoboost is worth the hype.
However, I'm expecting maintenance costs to be high as it gets a little older. Truck mechanics are used to relatively low tech motors like the 5.0. The Ecoboost is a different animal. Techs seem to be afraid of them, and shops charge a premium. The earlier ones (mine is a 2012) were prone to some high cost failures (like turbos) and outdated electronics.
My truck runs great, but I've sure heard a lot of horror stories in the construction world, and a lot of guys who have traded in their EBs for a 5.0.
There are some really good deals out there.

Thanks.. I drove a 2016 2.7. It was about right for my needs (Boat to lake, Miata to track.. Kids to soccer). We shall see if I can find one from a non rusty place. The sales person let me take it home for a day and it barely fits int he garage. Excited to find one in the next month. That truck wasn't right and my buddy losing his job was a bit of a shock. scared my wife and I into keeping ourselves liquid.
2015+ are aluminum bodied. Worried about frame rust? Has that been a problem? Not being sarcastic, just hadn't heard that.

I live in minnesota.... that's about all you need to know. The 2015+ body is aluminum and I will buy one.... The frames don't really rust out, even here.. (atleat not yet).. but this is a whole different world up here and I want to start with the cleanest one available.
