As we were getting ready to leave last night’s Orlando Roadsters meet, someone ducked his head into our passenger-side window:

"Hey, where’d you get the black Kosei K1s?”

“Tire Rack.”

“No way?”

“Way.”

Okay, maybe the conversation didn’t exactly go like that, but our black Kosei K1 wheels caught the eye of a fellow wheel aficionado–someone who was only familiar …

By the way, that candy apple red Miata? It's a wrap. Even up close, it looked like paint.

And just in case you can't make it to the Orlando Roadster's meet, Ace Cafe still offers full month of meets for cars, bikes and even trucks:

I might have to make it out to Honda Night and maybe even the KDM meet–and of course the Orlando Roadsters meet, too.

I was ><this close to getting Kosei K1s for my Yaris. I ended up going with bronze Advanti Storms instead, which are still a good look, but K1s are an underrated wheel.

Hoping to some day get 15x8s for my AE92, wheels I'm keeping an eye out/saving up for are Konig Dial-Ins, Kosei K1s and Avanti Storms. I remember Jongbloed also made some nice 15x8s? Point is, all the wheels I want in that size are super-rare and paying for them a second time in import costs is really going to hurt sad

I don't understand the allure of black wheels. They just disappear in the wheel wells.

I'm just showing my age I guess.

In reply to Aspen :

I'm with you, I don't like black wheels either.  They do a great job of not showing brake dust and dirt/winter grossness tho

I had the Jongbloed 15x8s. They were pretty cool and I never saw many of them. But I sold my set off when I needed 15x9s.

I went with black K1s too, but it perfectly fits the theme I have in mind for the '22 challenge.

I'll add that the black K1 are easy to keep clean. Brake dust just wipes off.
