HF 12 ton or 20 ton Press - anybody have one?| Grassroots Motorsports forum |

Need to redo the wheel bearings in the 4runner. I can buy a press and parts for the job for about 1/2 the price of handing the work over to a shop. Looking at either a 12 or 20 ton press. Are these worthwhile? Alternatives?

I have the 20 - it works fine.

I have the 12 and did the e30's wheel bearings and balljoints with little difficulty.

I've had extensive experience with the 20ton. I'll echo what was said above, and it doesn't suck.

We have a 20, it's surprisingly decent.

we have the 20. other than the ram not being totally square to the table it doesn't suck.

I bought the 12 for a suspension bushing job. It got the old bushings out without a problem, but struggled to get the new ones back in (not polyurethane btw). I'd go with the 20 next time.

Looks like the word is in on the 20. I see they're on sale through October and I've got a 20% coupon.
