Helllo all, I have a 93 Mazda RX7 track car here in MA. It is a former SpeedSource Motorola Cup car, i am asking those in the know if the car would have eligibility in any of the historic race series? Thanks in advance for any information.

I would reach out to the VSCCA and see if they have a class for you.

Although the car is a bit new it has race history; I'd expect most vintage groups to accept the car. If any name drivers ran the car it makes and even stronger case for eligibility.

The only negative you may experience is that you will be thrown in a catch all class.

I run an oddball car of sorts (Formula 500) at vintage races and it's been fun.

Check HRG. They recently went to 89 but will include continuation cars if same chassis.

At VSCDA I've seen newer.  Dont see a reason why they wouldnt let you run.  Also, I'm here for pics

Yup, depends as each vintage race group sets their own rules. Some are more liberal, some more conservative. There isn't really a national standard.

What tracks are you looking at running?

Very cool car, by the way.
