for the fiesta all you need is iirc a 2inch drop and a slightly wider wheel
I'd put some coil overs/camber adjustable struts (lower it some) ... whatever ... make sure you can get some neg camber
rear sway bar ... track pads ... if there aren't any readily available, the get in touch with carbotech (I'm sure other brake pad outfits will do this also, but I KNOW carbotech does) and they will make you some one off pads .... you and they will come up with a compound that will do what you're wanting it to do ... and then then they will have the specs to on file to make anything you want in the future
go FIT
SWMBO loves her fit. It is sporty enough to entertain and ridiculously practical at the same time. Sometimes I swear the inside is bigger than the outside. There is also a strong after market in place for the fit. I keep day dreaming of what I will do with it when she gives it to me and gets a newer one.

Fits have tons of options for front brakes; rears are drum, but you can convert if you have a few parts machined up. And there are two big-ass RSB options (Progress and Cusco). Swift springs on Koni oranges are the hot budget suspension ticket but there are bazillions of other spring and coil over options if you want to spend the money.
Probably the best easy power is had from a KTuner setup (no Hondata support yet) in combination with your choice of intake and exhaust. Guys are seeing 17whp gains with those and 91 octane.

that's why I would opt for the Fit .. and all I'd do for the engine would be a cold air intake and a header ... if it's like my Integra was, there are huge gains to be had with just those 2 mods
I went from 105 at the wheels and the AEM cai to 121, and then with a DC sport header it jumped to 131 ... I don't know much about the motor in the Fit, but the B18 responded wonderfully to these 2 mods
So Woody the critical question is how big of a dog?
With a three dog pack, the largest of which being 150lbs, the Element has been the perfect vehicle for me in my 10+ years of ownership. So what size and number of dog(s) are you needing to transport?
Ah, OK then yeah an Element is probably overkill, a Fit would do fine. And this also leaves more Elements for me...
Did a search for Honda Element as I'm looking to buy one soon and came across this thread. I've got a 2002 Z3 Coupe if you (the OP) is interested. I got the z3 coupe thinking it would be a good autox car and I could haul my dog around in it. It was, but I miss having a true convertible so replacing it with an Element and maita or mr2. Anyway, might be something to consider if you still like the BMW. Mine will be for sale once I find either a good Element or roadster.

Tell me more about this coupe.
I just posted this listing for my Z3 earlier today. If you're seeking a convertible and you're interested, maybe we could work something out.

This is my for sale ad from a while back. http://www.z3coupebuyersguide.com/listing?ListingID=2994
Has 140k miles on it now and a bunch of cosmetic blemishes (was a weekend car that turned into a daily driver once I stopped working from home). Compared to the roadsters, the coupe's definitely come with the "Coupe tax" but my dog loves it. I'm pretty flexible on price though if it goes to a racer.
Sorry, not really interested in trading. My budget for my roadster is around $5k.

Thanks for the link. It's probably not the right car for me. Good luck with the sale.

Funky, flat cornering with tight, tossable steering all in a mini crossover with nice Alcantara interior and same model Recaro seat (Sportscar CS) I have in my FR-S... Too bad they are kind of expensive and a small liter turbo engine...I really want one now.Last I checked, all Jukes are excluded from SCCA autocross street categories for reasons of stability. That was a punch in gut to my fondness for them.
Just found this, and figured I'd resurrect a zombie thread. (Is that technically correct - can you resurrect a zombie?)
Juke (all) is now classed STX per February 2016 FastTrack. http://cdn.growassets.net/user_files/scca/downloads/000/012/088/16-fastrack-February-solo.pdf?1453302263
