I have seen one of these and it's twin the A600 (I think that is what it is called) around where I live. What can be done with these little cars? Anyone played around with one?

What can't be done with them? With some time, money, and talent you can do just about anything with them, including a tube frame, carbon fiber body, etc.

I have seen that car before I was thinking a bit milder. What kind of suspension do they have stock?

The internets is your friend.

Ok, that really helped a lot. How about a picture of the real car? I'm sure somebody on here has put a northstar or an LSX into one.
Someone on the old board had one he was building with a Honda bike engine and 13" Civic VX wheels with some low profile tires. they were ATV tires if I recall. I don't know how far along he is.

There's the link, he actually didn't use the ATV tires, it was suggested by someone else and it is a N600 not Z but awesome anyway.
Hello, I'd like you to meet my co-driver...an engine. He doesn't talk so much as he screams, and it's very hard to understand his directions. Doesn't eat much. Never leaves the car. Quite strange, but I'm not complaining.
I love the fact that they put a rear seat in those cars...
...who says the Japanese don't have a sense of humor!
I still remember the CHiPs episode that had Rosey Grier (I believe) get pulled over in one, and get so pissed off he rips the car apart.
I saw 3 of those things last week when I went to Palo Alto. I had to stop and take a look. If I get a chance maybe I can get some pictures. Cool little cars.
We did a feature on the carbon-bodied Z600 (Z1300?) in the October 2008 issue, page 56. It is absolutely insane.
I'd like to find a clean one at the right price one day, but there aren't many survivors out there. Parts seem pretty rare, too.
Currently at $152, No Reserve:

Too bad that is CA. Too far for me and I was really just asking this more out of curious because I have two other projects.
A Z600 is one of the "ones that got away." I always regret not buying one when I had the chance years ago. I'll have one some day!

Mr.Joshua will be checking in shortly...
He had an N600 mocked up with a N* sitting in the back, and a Turbo Dodge sitting up front.
300hp+ 300hp= N600HP!
A Z600 was the first micro I ever bought... got it from a guy who planned to drop a V8 in it and then couldn't figure out "where".
Those days (1990ish) you could still buy new parts at the Honda dealer!
Suprisingly peppy for 600cc.
Rust was the main worry... clean cars on the east coast bring money similar to Minis.

They pop up decently priced occasionally. Set your crazedlist search on your side of the country and sign up with the mailing lists and check it several times daily. Within a few months you will find a decent running example for sub $2k.
You'll need to log in to post.
