We going through an old bin of stuff at today and found some old Hot Wheels cars. All are from about 1980.
A few of interest:
Scout "Racing" (will ahve to send this to Bill Caswell, I think)
Sweet Lotus
Until a few months ago when I accidentally met some guy via buying parts and he had TWO of these that he told me all about, I never knew this car even existed. But Hot Wheels apparently did.
Citation X-11
And a Rally Porsche in Martini-ish livery...
In reply to irish44j :
Think I have that Porsche too.
I'm guessing it was more popular than the Citation :)
There used to be an empty lot across from Taco Bell where I would get lunch on work days. People would park their cars for sale on the lot and one time someone put a minty Citation X-11 there. People would pull in and walk around the car, probably never seen one before or surprised to see a real one.

I worked with a woman who bought a new X-11. It was a pretty dismal time for performance cars back then and it was actually one of the better ones available.
Cool cars! I was hoping to see a Cadillac Cimarron!
Hot wheels are getting better all the time!

No joke, I used to work with an older gentleman who bought a Cimarron for his wife (he leased a new Coupe deVille every three years) and would go on about what a fine automobile it was. He was my boss, so I would just nod my head and smile.

Holy crap! A Cosmo is coming?!? And a Lancia 037!!?
In reply to Javelin :
Yep, Cosmo is coming next year sometime. Can't wait to add it to my collection.
I've got the lotus and the citation boxed up in my parent's basement. Mine are pretty scratched up though as I played with them hard as a kid.
