Like everyone else here I'm constantly searching for the perfect car(s). I thought I had found the perfect project in a caged '88 FoxBody yet still I continued looking. I've been enamored with Ford's EcoBoost line of engines, in particular the 1.0 three cylinder, for a while now. In that vein I found this little beauty and this the more homely sister of the two.
I'm having a hard time determining which is the better value. The advantage(s) of one seem to be countered and rendered moot by the advantage(s) of the other.
Thoughts?

It doesn't matter because they're both sedans and the hatch is much more useful at hauling stuff.
Otherwise get the white one because the silver looks like some kind of fleet car (more than the white one does).

But it's going to be way harder to cram a 460 into a Focus.
What's your planned use? For $14k I've seen 2011-2014 mustang v6 manuals with low mileage. They get 31mpg highway and would be way more fun to drive than a focus 1.0!

That and used Fiestas are dropping below $5k. Are the 1.0s in that group yet?

At $14k + used car APR, you might look at new. 0% APR and $1750 rebate on '16 fiestas.
I'd rather the caged fox body than either of those.
They'll both make you invisible on the street. Sometimes that's a good thing but depending on your personality , it might not be what you really want.
Not sure what it is about MY personality but I'm an enthusiast and I like other enthusiasts to be able to tell by what I drive.
(And I drive a Yukon Denali. Not exactly a vehicle that screams "hey, car-guy, we have something in common!". Guess I'll have to use my GRM stickers.)

It would be my DD and occasionally used for family road trips.
