So, I drove home my new-to-me 964 C4 last night. For a car that seems to be so wrong to this engineer, it sure feels right in every respect. Fantastic steering, incredible build quality, terrible ergonomics and yet perfect driving position (it took me 10 min to find the sunroof switch). Phenomenal sound - it took me a LOT longer to get home than it should have.
Build thread to come - along the lines of Woody's 911 thread, with a DIY/budget flavor. It's a scruffy car, but it was cheap (uh oh), has 70k miles, and runs extremely strong. I LOVE it.
Congrats, I'll be following the build thread closely...
The purchase was very much inspired by your 911!
Nice! My C2 is on stands right now getting fresh plugs, tie rods, tires and fluids.
I need to get to work- it's been sitting for a week.
Waiting, with baited breath, on pics and a build thread...
911 -- it will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine.

Do not believe the 911 bashers. They haven't driven them. Good buy!
I'm not happy, there is no 964 picture content. 964 commentary is also good though....
WHERE ARE THE DAMN PICTURES!!!

Stop distracting me with 911 goodness. I'm trying to save my pennies for an F-car before the automotive ADD hits and I buy something else.
Now where's the damn pics?
This thread cannot affect me. My WRX has proven to me that I'm just not going to fall for any car that leaves the factory fast and competent without my doing anything.
(stuffs ears with cotton, closes eyes) LALALALALALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU...
I too would welcome a 964 in my life. No pics still? Do you hate us?
That's "scruffy"?
I need to raise my standards...
Oh God, it's disgusting, you have to get rid of it. Might as well send it my way.
Just kidding, seriously cool car and I hope you enjoy the heck out of it!!
What you don't see is the rough/dull paint, ABS and PDAS warning lights, dent in the passenger door and ding on the hood. The interior is clean, the oil pressure is good and it only leaks at the valve covers. For me, it's fantastic.
Keep posting pictures and talking about it please.
Welcome to the long way home.

When the time comes, spring for the silicone valve cover gaskets. They're reusable and will save you money over the long run.

That should only cost the equivalent of a Boxster to fix. I don't see an issue with that.
The 964 is one of my favorites, and I am jealous.
Arrrrgghh! Off to search Autotrader...
:) Well, next week (after some family time), I hope to find that the paint looks great after a cut and polish, the dash lights turn off with an ABS solenoid replacement, and the oil leak is small enough to live with until I check the valve clearances. I might be dreaming...time will tell. I'll start the build thread next week.
Ahhhh.... That's the spot....
