I’m  being attacked by the Get Your FREE Grassroots Motorsports Trackside Companion Now! popup

Nothing I do (including signing up for it) will make it go away. It's making the forum completely unusable.

PC with Firefox if it matters. All other websites work fine so far, though they are comparatively useless to me.

Help!!

I'm betting Firefox being more privacy focused isn't setting the cookies.  Is there a way to allow cookies for GRM?

I've been hit with it very frequently too.  Three different computers

First suggestion is to clear the cache / cookies for firefox, then close the browser and relaunch it. If that doesn't do it check to see if you have the latest version of firefox. Often this is a cache / cookie issue though.

Hmmmm. Have you tried blocking pop ups in firefox?

1. Open the "Mozilla FireFox" Browser.
2. Click on the drop down menu on the top left corner of the firefox browser, and select "Options."
3. The "Options" window will open.
4. Click on the "Content" tab.
5. check the "Block pop-up windows".
6. click the "ok" button.

Still popping up. This time it actually popped up as I was entering my password.

Ok, I don't see anything on the admin side that I can change that would eliminate this issue. I'll reach out to the web gurus to see if they can help. 

Are you able to determine which version of firefox you are running and post it here? That may help them. 

According to Firefox, I am using the most recent version. It updates automatically.

Thank you. I am now logged in with Internet Explorer and it just popped up again.

And, wow...I forgot how much nicer it is to use Firefox than IE!

I did previously, but haven't checked as of this morning. Last night, I reset my entire computer (lost all my bookmarks)  and then reloaded Firefox. This is the first page I checked when I opened the computer back up and I've already had the popup.

So, allowing cookies from this site should keep it down to once every 14 days then?

Yes, that's correct. Otherwise, the site thinks you're new on every page load. 

I think that, with everybody's help, I have gotten this under control. I've had both the Trackside Companion and the subscription popups today, but only once each, rather than several times per minute. This is better. I suppose tomorrow will be the test.

So far so good: Nothing today. Phew!

I'm having the same issue here.  Been quiet about it because I hadn't make any effort on my end.  I usually don't allow cookies and I have all browser data cleared every time I close Firefox.  Yesterday I noticed that it seemed to get more frequent during the evening, so today I allowed cookies for this website and it hasn't made a difference.  I also have pop-ups blocked except for a work related website so I can fill out my timesheet...

I was gonna say, I saw it last week a couple of times (different computers), but haven't since.
