'Fondle my dashes'?
I expect a vehicle to last. I expect it to require maintenance. I expect things which do not require maintnance (such as wiring and bulb sockets, etc) to last a hella long time. I expect a car to be built with serviceability in mind.
When I see an LED taillight costing $300 that loses one LED meaning the whole thing has to be replaced, to me that's poor quality due to crappy serviceability.

I'm partial to vinyl and plastic everything. Doors, head liner, floor mats, seats, everything. I don't want to have to baby or take care of it. I don't really want to clean it more than twice a year. If I can do that with a scrub brush and a hose, that's even better. I don't want to have to buy a special treatment to make the seats last or shampoo the carpet.
I think the last owner of my volvo most have been you. While the carpets were nice.. they obviously had no clue how to take care of leather
