In reply to Pete. (l33t FS) :
99% of Pony guys do not put it in the proper gear when in Mexico. ;)
I find most new cars are too fast in 2nd, which makes the 1st to 2nd gear change awful in normal traffic. This is the most annoying thing about my GTI, gear spacing everywhere else (and in all my other cars) feels much more natural.
1st gear : 38 mph
2nd gear: 61 mph
3rd gear: 108 mph
4th gear: 143 mph
5th gear: 184 mph
6th gear: 219 mph
But, factory limited to 155 (189 with an EU tune)
2015 Golf GTI: 63 MPH at the marked redline, 70 at shutoff
1999 C5 Corvette: 78 MPH
2006 Honda CBR1000RR: 114 MPH - and it can go from stationary to there and be safely stopped within a Kroger parking lot.
