Recently I came into possession of some wheels I've been lusting after for the MR2. My wife was amused that I now have 3 sets for the same car. My first thought was, "I prolly got nothing on the peeps in the forum".
So, how many sets/types/whatever of wheels have you guys had at the same time for a car?
The car I'm currently prepping for stage rally has 5 full sets of wheels and it's not even logbooked yet.
While we're at it I might as well show off the new shoes.

2 minutes in and that's what I'm talking about!
In reply to Matt B (fs) :
Those look like a "must buy" to me...very sharp!
Three sets for my Miata but likely add a fourth set next spring.
I love those old Enkeis. Had a set on my e30 years ago.
Four sets is the most I've had for a car at the same time.
I never keep more than one extra set, more than that just takes up space. Note it seldom snows in Vegas so need for a third set.

A few years ago when I was still driving Suzukis, I had 6 sets of the fairly rare Swift GT wheels, along with 2 sets of 12" steelies, 2 sets of 13" steelies, 2 sets of 14" steelies, a set of 13's in aluminum, 4 sets of 14's in aluminum, a set each of 15 "and 16" in aluminum.
I think that's 19 sets. I sold one set of the GT rims, still have another set of 14'sin aluminum and scrapped the rest after trying to sell most of them for a year.

This is probably still amateur numbers but 7.5 sets plus some extra tires (and a big stack of junk ones) between two cars. I'm actively trying to consolidate that some though.
We have five cars that all utilize 4x100 wheels, so there are lots laying around.......at least 11 sets that I can think of, plus a couple more that my son uses on his Fiat.
Usually between 3 and 5 extra sets of wheels. Always buying and selling them though.
I got 16 sets that fit 4 of my cars.
Maybe the more GRM question is how many sets of wheels do you own that don't fit any vehicles in your possession?
I own 4 cars with the same bolt pattern and all of them have 2 sets ( winter and summer) so technically......I have 8 for one car
I have 5 sets in my 600sq ft apartment.. as well as the set on each car.. so total of 7..
and this is after i got rid of 2 sets over the summer..

See also: Do you technically own wheels that you have never seen? (In my case, yes.)

Three sets per car is the proper minimum number. I have that for the Volvo, but am massively short for the Fiat, partly due to the odd bolt pattern.
I have 8 sets of wheels for 4 cars. One winter and one summer for every car.

Yeah, that's definitely a more GRM question.
I'm light in that department too. I only have one instead of a set, but it's a good one. Testarossa rim I use for "interior design".
I have wheels and tires in four different locations. I have three sets out in the barn, one set down in the basement, one brand new set up in the crawl space, and one car's original spare up in the attic. Plus all the ones under the cars!
