Define "nice". We put effort into keeping the truck decent. It is 11 years old now, so it has it's nicks and dings but we try. The C10, well it already looks a bit rough but I'm doing all I can to keep it from looking like trash. Her Rio.... well.... no one cares. It's a former rental car. It gets a thorough cleaning every year because we don't like them to be too filthy.

I'm not as bad as I used to be. WAaaaaaay back when I had the engine bay of my 93 full size so clean you could eat off of it. It got waxed every other month, washed weekly, detailed all the time. I;ve gotten too old and lazy to keep doing that.

City dweller here as well. I put 0 effort into the exterior, but I like keeping the interior reasonably clean mostly to deter thieves (as in, "look, there is nothing interesting in here. Please don't smash my window").

I try and run both cars through the wash once a week, and at least wipe down and vacuum the interiors every few. It's been too long since either has been waxed but I try for 3-4 times a year. Chips and dings are going to happen but I like to keep them presentable.

Scratches and dings are just a fact of life in communal urban parking, going beyond occasionally buffing the scuffs and scratches down and a quick wash and wax is an exercise in futility.

Once in a while I'll get inspired and clean something inside and out, but it doesn't happen often. Our truck gets the star treatment a couple times a year because we take it on some long hauls where it's basically lived in for a week or so at a time. Post-trip it needs to be shoveled out and vacuumed just to make sure nothing gets lost or there's no half a hamburger rotting away in the back seat.

I've found when I have something really nice, I don't drive it. I had a gorgeous '99 Miata Sport for a while. Black on black, I was the third owner and both previous owners kept it as their garage queen. It was spotless, even under the hood. I never drove it because I didn't want it to get dirty. Reviewing oil change records one day, I noticed that it had been just about a year since the 99 was done last. I was surprised to realize that it had only gone 300 miles in that year. Sold the car shortly afterwards and only kinda regret it.

Other than that, most stuff here get washed and hit with quick wax occasionally. Sometimes I'll get out the buffer and put some real wax down, but not often. I'm pretty good at keeping things clean enough that people think I really take care of my stuff, without expending any extra effort doing so.

Regular cars wash wax and interior detail two times a year. Race cars Are a fickle thing as we seemed to crash every car that we washed or cleaned so we kind of got away from that. We were not superstitious or anything

I washed my tow vehicle Saturday, for the first time ever, we bought it 11 years ago.
