Although now that I think about it there was a mid 60s Dodge pickup I was looking at once. Poly 318, 4 speed and it was used as an airport tug so it had stupid high gears in the back. Dude told me I'd have to go a different way then 95 because it would barely do 60 mph.

I used to have an 84 f250 diesel 4x4. 4.02:1 first x 2.79:1 low range x 3.55:1 rear (i think) = 39.82.

500 RPM idle = 30000 RPH, 235/85R16 (655 revs/mile). 753.9 revs/hour = 1.15 MPH

Top speed in high range first is what I thought was ridiculous: 3300 or so max RPM = 21.05 MPH

Which v8 miata? That's a horrifying thought in an NA. While no stranger to triple digit speeds, 108 in my BRG scared the crap out of me. I suspect it would have been slightly better with the plastic under tray in place (and maybe a front splitter), but going down hill it felt like the front end wanted to lift off. I'll have to research na gear ratios to answer the original question, but I'll math it out sometime today.

The NA with the big wing and the big front splitter and the proper underbody aero and the big hood vents

If 108 is scary in an NA, something's wrong!

I'm not sure of all the gearing, but my '92 F-250 with 3.55 rear, 31" tires and five speed manual in 2-hi will idle from first gear to fifth with careful clutching, and maintain 20mph at 900 rpm...

I've done that with my truck, too. On flat, level ground, you can start off from a dead stop and run through all the gears to get up to around 20 mph or so.

We used to do that as teens. Called idle racing. Rule is you can't touch the gas. Goal is to go as fast as possible.

EFI cars will apply quite a bit of throttle if you keep them loaded enough to to be just under normal idle speed.

Also, race on a cold engine for higher idle speed.
