The subject line of a private message e-mail will be "Re: A grassrootsmotorsports.com message from XXX". With the XXX being the user name of the sender.
You can. Be aware that some email addresses don't play well with PMs. I have Yahoo and get all kinds of problems.
Check spam folders too.
