Did the truck already come with a 7 pin trailer connection at the rear bumper? Mine didn't but it came with the harness on the frame for one to be added. I ended up needing to cut and switch two wires in the 7 pin so that my trailer brakes weren't on constantly. E trailer said this was a common issue with the Nissans and the 7 pin harness, if it's that common I don't know why there hasn't been an update..
My truck came with the 7 pin from the factory and I have not yet had any issues with it.
Mine came with the 7 pin (2007). A 7 to 4 pin converter plug is about $35.
