yes, i can.
2004 Base...cloth, no sunroof, no electronic traction doodads. 28k miles. $12k. i forgot how nice it is to have a/c for the morning commute in august.

dunno about mileage. picked it up at 8pm last night. not expecting miracles, but my commute is only 6 miles.
If it's 6 miles of twisties then you are going to love it (0mpg and all)!
How's the headroom with the hardtop and cloth manual seats? I've heard since the last RX-8 thread that that is the combo to get.
I had an 04 Nordic green model in that exact combo. I really wanted the next level up before test driving them, and the realized the Base is the best bang for ther buck. I miss taht car some, but not too much. It was a fun GT car that I took out to Rotary Revolution in Indianapolis from Massachusetts back in 05. With the Sirius, and smooth as silk Renesis it was a great drive. I think I averaged 24mpg on that trip which was all highway. Not bad for some really illegal speeds at times.
I asked my wife for one last night, she said I need a four door... I showed her the quarter doors... she was not impressed with me at all.
heh, i actually chose it b/c i might need a rear seat in the not-too-distant future. the S2000 wasn't going to fit the bill. this should serve fine as an occasional/emergency baby/dog mover.

actually, it is exactly that! :D
headroom is fine. i couldn't fit w/ a helmet in a moonroof-equipped model (6' tall, 32" inseam), but w/ the cloth/hardtop, there is plenty of room w/ the helmet...no clearance issues at all.
BS/CS or STX...haven't decided. i wouldn't mind having the stability control for winter driving, but managed OK in my miata so this should be no problem.

Don't they call that a design feature on the Mazda rotaries?
Too bad the wankel wasnt designed for diesel fuel, since it burns oil, you'd just get better fuel economy.

Yes, that's why they have an OMP, "oil metering pump"

once i start autoXing it, i will probably premix.
You can make it quit burning oil. Just stop adding it and eventually this problem will fix itself.
I fired the Jensenator up on 32:1 premix (S5 13B NA) just to be on the safe side.

I was gonna say just that. I hopped in the back at an autoshow, and was really amazed by the room. Its definitely not all the room you would ever need... but its not a bad fit for a full sized adult.
