Well, good on the guy for following his dream, but... it's a 6 and the only thing he thinks it needs is windows??
Well, if you think about it, a V8 would prolly twist the car somethin' fierce, with all that body gone. A 170 or 200 is about what I'd expect. But Stealthtercel is right. He followed his dreams....I guess.
It's a Sustom Mustang.
The sad part is, at some point, someone put down the torch, stepped back from the car and said "Damn, that looks great!".
I've seen it done before. Nicer with a tailgate. Also saw a station wagon Mustang once, that was remarkably sweet.

Why does someone who's done all that work then say "it just needs windows"? Either there's more wrong with it, or it somehow fell into the hands of someone's idiot nephew.
Finish the damn car!
Other than the grief that you'd get from people about hacking up a "classic" car (didn't they make something like 500k/yr?) I have to say that I'd rock it.

Shooting brake != station wagon. Two different things. A station wagon has 5 doors, a shooting brake only has 3. Shooting brakes usually have a little more coupe-like slope to the roof than a wagon.
I'd kind of like a straight on side view before I passed judgement on the proportions. Those pics are seriously distorted. The diagonal rear shot looks like the bed is 84' long, and the diagonal front shot does the same for the hood.
I actually think it might look pretty good, but can't tell from those pics.
I like the wagon.
saw this a few years ago at a ford show. I like that he kept it in the correct scale to the mustang.
shooting brakes are full of awesome (and have the trunk space to carry it) but that pickup mustang that started this thread... I bet it is more full of bondo
