In late May, my 91 NA hardtop met a sad end.
My brain was all over the place trying to think of a replacement daily driver. I was leaning toward something like an IS300 or even Lincoln LS, but couldn't find the car I wanted. I ended up looking at RX8s, a turbo Eclipse, Mark VIII, Mustangs. I had no idea what kind of car I wanted. I just wanted to find a nice car. Then this happened by accident.
I didn't even want another MR2, but when I found a clean 93 hardtop with power steering and ABS, I couldn't resist. I even preferred the color to my 91.
It's completely stock except for the stereo head, has 103,000 miles, and is in pretty amazing mechanical shape--I have receipts for oil changes going all the way back to November 1993. The body is solid, but the paint isn't as good as it looks in pics. Everything works except one taillight bulb, and the tach reads low. It's not even leaking or burning oil (yet). I've never seen a 5SFE this clean.
The interior is pretty nice.
I have no plans to mod this car. My only planned purchases are a new shifter boot and front tires: I have a receipt for the front tires, and it's dated 1995...
