LOVE Rhubarb pie
I don't even have a GRM sticker on this car so I ordered one last night.
I'm registered and paid for the show and the car is "running" so everything is on. gonna spend some time trying to clean up the engine bay a little bit but other than that she's "ready"

fixed that for you.
KISS Don't have too much info. People won't bother to read it. Just be there to answer questions. My town has a similar show every year. 50% don't care about the cars.
The show was yesterday and I had a blast. I was mostly ignored as my car is ugly. A few people gave it a once over and smiled. (thanks!) few old dudes poked their heads under the hood and circle-jerked each other about how I should have left it alone, it would have run better. (You're worthless little opinion has been noted) A couple guys asked me what kind of racing I did and if it was fast. I had conversations with them and one guy, a C5 owner, confessed that he'd always wanted to try it but thought it was too expensive.I spent a while talking to him and i think he will at least check it out once.
But the real bulk of my time was spent entertaining the under 10 crowd. Kids lost their minds when they saw it. Wow! A race car! Mom, Dad, you gotta come see this!"
So I let him sit in it and plunked my helmit on his head and his parents took his picture.
I probably had a dozen kids get their picture taken in my car. One kid even asked for my autograph. So grabbed a pen from my glove box and signed my name as fancy as I could followed by a #244 on his car show flier. I told him to hold on too it, it was going to be worth something. I felt a million feet tall.
Then I quietly told his parents, that ain't gonna be worth E36 M3.
A good time was had by all.
When I drive the Manic Miata during autocross season, I always leave the numbers, club logo, and GRM magnets on it. The meatballs are permanent. I'm not trying to show off that I think I'm a racecar driver; I'm encouraging people to ask me what I do with the car. Usually about every other trip I get a chance to give a little explanation about autocross and how to find out more about it.
I have taken it to a small local parking lot car show with the tire trailer behind it. I kind of made a little autocross-paddock diorama. I put one side up on the jack and had the race rubber on the front corner to highlight the dual street car / race car nature. Left my helmet on the passenger seat, with the harness buckled behind it.
I didn't have any with me, but autocross action pictures or videos on a tablet would be a great idea.
