And I need silly ideas of what to do with it.
1994 Infiniti G20t, so it has the sport interior and LSD. 220k miles, bought from (supposedly) the original owner, although I haven't run a carfax to confirm yet. Was bought to teach my girlfriend to drive manual, but she's also interested in getting involved with racing so I think it'll be a rally-x beater as well.
BUT, I'm looking for other ideas. Lemons? HPDE car? $2000 challenge? Give me something fun and low budget and I'm in. Keep in mind I have a Tacoma to DD and an Exocet as my fun project on the weekends, so I don't want to spend hours and hours working on it if possible.

I've got a 91 with automatic that i've saved from the crusher (belonged to my niece). I put KYBs on it with the TEIN lowering springs. As soon as I can get it to run on a regular basis (sitting in a backyard for 8 years is not good for motor vehicles) i'll tell you if it handles any better than I remember, which was pretty good IIRC. Tough finding hop up parts outside of intake and exhaust, but the drift kids will sell you a turbo kit all day long (SR20 FTW) a set of cams will cost you about 1/3rd of what you paid for the car. Just not supported as well as a Honda, but a good solid platform.
EDIT: BTW, Great score for 800. Just keep a quality oil in that SR and it should last awhile.
I have adjustable suspension for one and a nice exhaust. I am parting a 1995 g20t out let me know if need any other stuff.
Great cars...

Looks nice! Fix the seats, eBay new floor mats, good cleaning and sell it for 1600. Easy money.

Damn, that beats the $800 '97 Celica I bought for DD#2. Nice!

Sr20, right? Boost, challenge.
Yup. Me and mndsm are on the same page.
Shoot, It looks great. I would clean it up maybe fix the seats and just drive the heck out of it. Teach the GF to drive a stick and then maybe some turbonium action.

I think this has potential...
First things first though, I have to find me some properly sized 14" winter tires or all seasons for the first rallycross in a month. MAybe full Rally tires if someone has a set of 14's they want to get rid of in the 23.5-24" diameter.
I have pretty much the whole car minus drive train.
Awesome car; drove a buddy's at rallycross once and was impressed. I say either drive it on the street as-is, or rallycross the heck out of it!

I'll be in touch (PM) I need a lot of little obscure stuff. Like I said, 8 years sitting in a backyard is not good for a car.
You can never go wrong by applying boost to something.
If it's already boosted, apply more boost. Then upgrade the internals. Then apply more boost.
Repeat until broke.

I like this recipe. Oh! And remove excess weight. G20s are heavier than their Sentra brothers by quite a bit.
a decent amount of potential in the SR20... Stock the exhaust side pretty much stop flowing at .300" lift....
but with the proper porting substantial improvements are available....
Intake side has some room for improvement...
but it isn't as dramatic
Honestly, i'd put some duct tape on the seats, keep it maintained and drive it as is.
I bet the seat fix is probably pretty cheap. More than anything it looks like the stitching came out vs. the leather ripping. I bet a good upholsterer could fix that easy.

Actually those seats are in better condition than most of the G20 seats I've seen. I think Nissan bought their hides from the pleather warehouse, they all crack on the bolsters or split at the seams. If you want to be picky just have those seams re-sewn on the cover, otherwise duct tape FTW
