Holla if you are comin down to look at anything, we'll get together for a cheesteak :)
I remember a go time a go seeing on what ever SPEED (tv) was call'd back then that they could out corner a P71. Awsome score I think it looks fine as is even with the stripes.
Congrats on the purchase. Thanks to you, I checked our local CL and found one just minutes from my house. Picked it up cheap(former Beverly Hills PD unit). I'll post a few pics when I pick it up after it's smogged.

Cant wait to see yours! Drove mine home yesterday, its an absolute joy on the highway, could get me in trouble because it just feels like its loafing along at 75.
Already replaced the master cylinder and flushed the brake lines (I'm a brake nazi) and tracked down the A/C leak. When they put the police equipment in one of the brackets was chafing one of the hard lines coming from the condenser. Temp fix is some epoxy and a hose clamp, it actually held pressure overnight so I'm going to get some more 134 today and fully charge it and see what happens. If it doesn't hold then its $50 for a new line assembly.
Still have to track down some small electrical gremlins (horn doesnt worked) caused by the butcher job they did when removing the police gear but overall its ready to hit the road.

Excellent to drive, smooth and responsive. I was driving home through Philly so noone moved out of my way because noone moves for cops in Philly anyway.
Acceleration is good, better than my suburban of the same year and motor. The handling is excellent. Overall if I didnt have a 140mile commute each day (70 each way) I'd drive it daily without hesitation.
GM trucks from that era can handle if they're given enough sway bar. My '94 K1500 (4WD) pickup is pretty incredible with just Bilstein HDs and Hotchkis F&R anti-sway bars. I have a feeling that having 265mm width front and rear tires helps somewhat!

I could see that thing with a satin black paint job with flat black stripes, and have that thing murdered out

Its my understanding from talking to some folks with more experience than I that the police package swaybar is larger than anything available in the aftermarket so I would concur that a good swaybar makes these things come alive.

Im thinking satin black with gloss black vinyl stripes and some gloss black hand laid pinstriping :)

Still no trade sorry, but check out the other one I posted on the first page and see if that guy is interested. He specializes in selling Crown Vics so he might take you up on it.

Make take a bit longer for pics, as the trans in mine is toast! Having it upgraded while it's rebuilt. I'll check the A/C lines, too as mine also has a leak.
No real updates on mine. Stripped out all the leftover cop wiring. Added a trailer hitch and its been doing tow duty. Took a nice ride out to Ohio and back with a trailer to get the Wartburg, it performed well.
Oh, I added an iPod connector to the factory radio....wooohooo, Im a modding fiend.
Replaced the alternator because I thought it went bad, turned out to be a bad wire in the rather complex dual battery setup that was the culprit instead.
NYS troopers have them all over the place. And they come in that nice dark color (blue ?). The state has an auction every so often. Hmm.
Any suggestions on craigslist search terms for ex-law enforcement SUV's? That would make a nice tow vehicle!
