So I've had a YouTube channel for a long time, mostly just to share autocross videos with friends. I decided that it was high time to really make a good channel on all things cars big and small, so I changed it up!
My first attempt at a video is already live, where I show how to fix the deformed rear wing on the new Hot Wheels Mazda 787B Circuit Racer casting.
I plan on doing some regular features:
- "Miniatures Monday" where we play with die casts and slot cars
- "Tech Tip Tuesday" will usually be an ~1 minute Tech Tip video, alternating between toy cars and real car
- "Throwback Thursday" will be history lessons on totally obscure car things
- "Project Car Files" will be regular updates on my project car builds. Expect some Cobra content, the cheap Bronco 4x4 truck, Mazda5 Mafia updates, and a brand-new car for the season.
- "Sunday Sunday Sunday!!" will be event reviews. I'll take you drag racing, autocrossing, TNiA, drifting, and anything else car I can find to film/participate in.
We'll see how it goes and how much I can keep up with. My computer processing power is pretty low for this kind of thing apparently, and my cheap camera is just that - cheap. So we'll see if it gets popular enough to warrant upgrades.
Until then, enjoy the backlog of autocross videos and the Javelin build!
I just noticed that both of my new uploads are in 4K!
How odd! I just subscribed to a youtube channel called "Plays with cars"...

Thank you! I shall reward you with my first feature video - Miniatures Mondays where I jazz up a $1 Hot Wheels car.
That's awesome! I'll probably be subscribed by lunch
Subscribed. Good luck with your channel. BTW, with luck, we'll be Mazda 5 owners later today.

Welcome to the mafia! Let me know if you want a video on mine.
So I have put up 3 new videos so far:
Let me know what kind of content, both big and little, you'd like to see. I have the Mazda5, Cobra, Bronco, and a new autocross project car here, but it's just wrenching season around here for another couple of months. I have plastic scale models, slot cars, and die-casts for the little stuff. It's supposed to be nice out tomorrow, so it'd be a good day to film something with the big cars.
How about explain with video how to steer with the throttle. :)
I was in over my head on that thread pretttty quick

I love it. Good luck with the channel. I think a bunch of us have similar/related interests— I can’t go through Walmart without passing by the hot wheels. Tamiya scale rally cars are my new obsession. The world (and YouTube) needs more automotive content.

The Cobra would be perfect for that and I live by a drift track. Hmmm...
Intro to the Mazda5 and Cobra video is up!
Enjoy!

Editing that much content will be an undertaking, but good luck and have fun!

Thank you!
I'm trying to keep from doing too much editing and just shooting the videos "raw". There's innumerable highly-polished and produced channels on YouTube already. I'm just a regular person filming by myself and I'm okay with it looking like that. All of the grassroots types channels that I used to follow now have production teams and have moved waaaay upmarket with whole shops of cars.
Sub’d! Gotta support fellow car youtubers
It's time for Flashback Friday Episode 1 from two weeks ago when I pulled my first wheelie.
Today we introduce the $500 5.0 Bronco project in another episode of Project Cars.
It's Miniatures Monday, and that means more content! We found a screaming deal over the weekend on some slot cars!

Thank you! You are #49 already!
Tech Tip Tuesday Episode 2 is live! I've showed you how to add details to Hot Wheels, today we are taking them off. Learn how to de-stripe them but save the paint.
