Those Dodge panel vans were pretty uncommon, there can't be very many left at all today.

I found quite a few about 10 years ago for about scrap money .But none closer than an 8 hour drive. This one is dangerously close .

Best looking forward control vans ever. They were very rare when new in my territory, which was then metro NY/NJ. Funny I do not like the Dodge pickups of that era.

Won't know until I see how bad it is.  Driving with disc brakes is the goal.

That was a food truck, so Business opportunity???

It was a malt and ice cream truck. In the 50s.  Very old school.    Truck has been sitting in the same spot since 1970.  Chicago is about the worst place for a food truck.   

We'll see.  Even if it is too far gone for me, these have a very rabid following.   It's my White Whale, however.   I've been hunting one for a very long time, and this is the first one I have even seen in person.  It would be tough to let it go.

On the plus side, it's possible that there might be another purge of projects, as I'm not getting any younger.  And this one is sure to age me well beyond my years.

Sitting sunk into the ground for half a century?  Ouch. I fear the frame, floor and most of the suspension will be left behind when it's pulled out.
