The middle drawer was definitely a bit rushed, not completely happy with it but I think it'll do for now. I'll try and post up some lessons and thoughts on the little project a bit later, but here's a picture for now! It does feel nice having it go together smoothly
Somehow I've never seen a pair of vise grips with that jaw shape, I'll have to look for one.
Nice job, definitely inspiring me to up my skills to do something similar.

Thanks! Yeah, that wrench won the brake flare competition here, so they're part of my TAKE ANY MIATA APART kit.

Alright I'll buy a pair, twist my arm!
Love how this full kit turned out.
Well, bought the 7" and 10" version (vise grip 7lw and 10 lw), definitely see those coming in handy!
I think I'll also grab a set of the craftsman metric flare wrenches too after watching that, my no-name set that didn't come with an 11 mm that I need on a regular basis could use an upgrade (and I don't have snap-on money).
I foamed my Snap-On road box and it turned out OK, but I think I like this a little better. It would also let me get a little better density than foam does. It would also be easy enough to make changes as needed, save the files and mod them as required.
How much weight do you think you added?
How did you get the measurements and stuff looking so good? Just sit down with a caliper and measure/eyeball it (what I would do) or something else.
Drawing all the allen wrenches looks a little mind-numbing.

I'll weigh the trays today - it's not a lot of weight, they're largely hollow with a grid inside for strength. It WAS mind-numbing, I think one my big take-aways is if I can swing it - a nice 3d scanner would be worth it's weight in gold.
The way I did it was with calipers and a measuring tape, and I made a few mistakes along the way - especially on the wrenches, 3 of the smaller ones are too tight of a fit. BUT - I did it with the skills and tools I had today, and I learned a lot, so it was a win overall.

Lol - yeah the Torque test channel can be bad on the wallet.

Haha! They're super handy to have around!
Thanks! I have some thoughts to make it better, but I'm overall happy with it - even just for what I learned along the way.
Well since I'm just posting 3d printing escapades at this point - I needed to put two brake lines through a whole in the body and thought I'd try to design something that threaded through. I thought it'd be pretty easy, but as usual I was wrong, haha.
As usual a MangoJelly tutorial came through for me, I don't think I could have even gotten this far without. This is definitely the most complicated part I've ever made. I'm not sure it'll work ... even at all, but again I learned a bunch just modeling it. My head does kinda hurt after doing it though, lol.
It's two parts, a nut ontop and a body that has slots and is threaded.
Made some mistakes as per usual, but it turned out ok
