If you could go back in time and change just one item on your car’s original order form, what would it be?

Add that special competition package? Delete the sunroof? Simply change the color?

On RIO, nothing. Her Sierra I'd order the one without rust.

On my 128i, delete nav package and add Sport package

On my 986, not a damn thing...it would have cost $5000 just to make the request for a change, LOL.

54 Belair: 2 doors instead of 4.

2016 Ram: heated seats

944 S2: an interior color other than all black.

986 S: Litronic headlights. The halogen lights are awful.

Cayenne S: Add the factory off road tech package for the rear locker.

B8 S4: Add the Bang & Olufsen stereo.

Q5 e-tron: Change the color from black to blue.

My Si, the color.  Red is okay, but I'd prefer white or even the bright yellow or neon green they were available in.

If JDM-only options were available I'd take the data logger and larger underbody panels for the 86.

Maybe the STi aero stuff for the '23 BRZ (passed because of the insane cost of it). Maybe the Homelink mirror.

But otherwise Red, Limited, with the STi shifter is exactly what I wanted.

FD: Competition Yellow Mica instead of red.

Escalade ESV: Platinum package. The leather-wrapped dash and a sunroof would've been nice. LED headlights too. Most importantly, NOT the light tan leather. It has worn horribly.

'85 900S: Would've been nice if it were a factory turbo car, but honestly, I doubt it would've survived this long if it were. This thing had a very interesting life before it got to me. Otherwise optioned perfectly.

9-3: Absolutely nothing. A friend ordered this car new and it is exactly like I would've done it.

C3500: 4WD would've been nice for my uses, but we're getting along okay without it so far. It is unlikely to be mine for more than a couple of years anyway.

900 Turbo convertible: I don't really care for white, but I definitely don't care for the light gray leather. Any of the other options would've been better.

Same, although I'd add a color change. Silver just isn't my jam.

On my 98 Jimmy, I'd like to add rear window defrost, power windows and power locks. Delete automatic trans in favor of a manual. I already retrofitted cruise control myself.

The 2000 Firebird needs the 3800 performace pkg added. I already added power windows and locks on my own. Can we trade the bright red paint for white?

1999 318ti: Love all the factory options except if it was factory manual then the cruise would still work after the drivetrain swap.

1996 Cherokee: Absolutely perfect and I would buy a new one tomorrow exactly as this one was built.

2011 Outback:

The 6 speed manual is bare bones only; it would have been nice for it to have some simple options like satellite radio and  a temp gauge (Subaru choose the vacuum  gauge mile meter instead)

1990 E250 Campervan:

A 460 instead of the 351....cuz hills.

72 Datsun 1200:

Automatic transmission.........the tunnel is larger than a manual trans tunnel and would be perfect for the motor swap(s) I've talked about doing every year for the last 30 years but never have.

2009 Pontiac Solstice coupe - only the second car (out of around 80 lifetime) that I bought new and I had to grab the one I had access to as only around 10 of them came into BC and most of them were automatics.

If I had my druthers, I would have bought a red one!  Sadly, GM was closing down by the time I purchased and special orders would have been unlikely to have been fulfilled.  They only sent 6 red manual GXPs to Canada (and only 4 gray ones like mine)

E400: add the front air suspension, otherwise perfect.

Escalade ESV: add the distance based cruise control and fancier seats with massage

NSX had no options available other than the sad auto trans that I'm happy to not have.

2013 Kia Soul:  Uhh I don't know what options there would be to change.  Its pretty full featured as far as a 10 year old Kia goes

2013 BRZ:  I also don't know what options I could change.  I would drop the heated seats if that is possible.

I'd change the car.

Pre-wife owns a 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Berlinetta - since her Dad worked for GM she's going order a NEW 1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS.  She complains about Chicago and snowy winters and her Camaro sucked and she heard about the new FWD cars.

Enter the biggest POS 1986 Pontiac Grand Am SE. The answer to buying a BMW - see the kidney grills and monochromatic paint?

So I would've ordered the Monte......

1966 Dart: Four speed manual transmission. Disc brakes were another good option, but I already added those.

2013 Soul: The Veloster Turbo engine would probably bolt in, but I don't think Kia would have ever allowed 1960s era COPO style shenanigans. So I'll take a real color instead of silver.

1999 Corvette FRC - it came with all the available options so other than the Light Pewter metallic color possibly being the way cooler and very rare Nassau Blue metallic, with possibly the Grey/Black  interior vs. all Black.

2014 Durango Limited AWD V6 - came with everything and all the packages less; the upgraded Adaptive cruise control with forward brake collision assist, the rear entertain system (no kids so I don't care) and 2nd row mini console.  First I wish it was a Citadel just get the cooled front seats (miss those badly) along the optional full & complete technology package and optional skid plates.  Second, the 5.7L Hemi V8 would make towing easier and with AWD it would have also come with the 2-spd transfer case making off road trails a bit less demanding.

2012 Buick Regal Turbo with Premium II package - first the wife wishes it would have been a GS 6-spd manual, but those 19" or 20" rims would not have lived long on our local roads.  Second the way she drives, well... lets just say she doesn't need the extra power.  I wish it would have had the Premium III package with Navigation or it was the 2014 model with the updated dash and backup camera.

Not a thing.  The 2004 STi didn't even offer factory floor mats and a radio.

I simply picked up a set of WRX floor mats for street use and installed an aftermarket stereo after a couple of months of research.

Current fleet:

2016 Grand Cherokee: Finally found what we wanted at a dealer 400 mikes away- no changes.

2010 Ford Fusion:  Bought off lot- no changes.

2003 Jeep Liberty: Factory ordered-  " light khaki metallic" in 2003 is just plain yucky gold in 2022.

Susie, '67 Mustang - Add manual trans from the start, change to fastback.  Keep the I6

Truck - Nothing.  Nada.  Zip-a-rooney.
Well.  Maybe up a trim level so it had better seats, but considering I've swapped the seats twice, it probably wouldn't matter.
Changes I want to do to it have nothing to do with Ford options.

Miata - Brembo brake set, maybe?  BBS Wheels with the Brembos?
Changes I want to it are more "stuff that came normally on 2019 models"
