No prob, I've got a love hate thing going for FD's. I REALLY REALLY want one converted to a single turbo with supporting (read cooling) mods, and tuned for about 300whp. But I keep remembering the PURE HELL my 93 put me through. I love em though. Car taught me more in a year about being smooth with your inputs and driving line than anything I've ever owned. Be smooth with it, and it will reward you every time, try and force it and it will bite you every time. I was able to run down a friend on a 600cc ninja in the mountains with mine. (stupid 20 yr old antics)
Having driven an FD and a Z06 I would probably favor the Z06 over the FD for a daily driver. If it were more track driving and less DD duties I would go with the FD.
My main reasoning is that the Z06 is a nicer and roomier place to be every day. In addition to that you can still get some giggles on the street with competition mode engaged. The whole stability system can really save your bacon. Plus it has some seriously good ABS stopping power.
On track I would rather have the FD because it's a bit more of a raw and engaging drive/chassis.
A 3000 GT is NOT a Berkeleying DSM.I am a Mitsubishi Master Tech and a Garbage Truck doesn't turn me on

Depends where you are, how hard you look, if you have cash in hand, and how quickly you get to one when a good deal comes up. A friend of mine managed to get a very clean stock rolling chassis for just over challenge money.....Clean title and he had to go drive to tennessee to get it.
$14k for a pretty clean looking running/driving car with a recent rebuild. Notice in Tennessee

There was also one in the classifieds here not too long ago for a good price on a nice one.

However, I can tell you that I'm a bigger guy (6'4" - 260 lbs or so) and still have quite a bit of room. The FD would be similar I'd bet. A close second in my eyes. You've never driven a FD have you? My friend who was 6'3" had to slouch constantly in mine. He couldn't find a comfortable seating position and he tried for about 18 hours worth of road tripping.
No since I was a wee lad. I was more thinking that they'd be comparable performance-wise, have no input at all on interior of an FD.
