Youtube suggested this to me for no apparent reason - this is definitely not my usual scene as a non-southerner (no, suburban Virginia is not the south.....). But for some reason I was captivated for the entire video. There is really impressive machinery in here....

Some up-front takeaways:
1. GRM *NEEDS* to make something for this event - I mean, it's in Florida. It's motorsports. Plenty of Grassroots going on.
2. This event personified what everyone from up north thinks about Florida, but way better.
3. Er,,...a Tesla?
4. Is that airplane-looking thing made out of some kind of large farming equipment?
5. 4:45: In one shot we have: a large off-road vehicle. a Natty Light shirt. Camo. overalls with no shirt. cowboy hats. trucker hats. a camo Chevy hat. great tans.
6. This feels like someplace I need to take the Raider when I finish it. I mean, it's a Dodge Ram, right? I might need bigger tires though.
7. There is really some awesomely impressive machinery happening there.
8. The paddock would drive SCCA crazy.
9. Can we make this an SCCA event?
10. New RallyCross National Championship venue? Seriously.
Please sign me up for the GRM Experience as soon as tickets are available. That looks like more fun than it probably should.
I bet it's the only time you will see a tank pull a Tesla out of the mud.
That looks fun. I mean, I don't think I'd want to take any of my things there, but if somebody wanted to loan me a ride, sure.
1: Who let Florida Georgia Line make a 13 minute video?
2: Scrambling pancakes is not "twerking."
Starring Florida man.....

I'll take your word for it
I had an experience with some rural Florida rednecks, mud trucks and a field, and I don't think I have ever felt less safe in my life.
RYC is legendary here. I know a bunch of guys who go every year and ya, they're FL rednecks. Guys build trucks all year just to take them there.
I live about an hour from this. I've been to every one for the last 5 years. It's incredibly fun. There is lots badass machinery, hot girls, and heavy drinking. My wife and I bring a pair of 4 wheelers to cruise around on. The people-watching is non-stop entertainment. I highly recommend.
Pedant alert: rustyvw that's an APC not a tank.

I watch those videos every so often. It looks like a ton of fun, but it also looks a little... homogenous and with the inevitable confederate flags and trump paraphernalia that follows, it's not the kind of place I could take my better half and expect her to be comfortable.
I do like the idea of it, but.. oh well. I guess i yee yee from afar.

Change the machinery a bit and it's basically the infield at the Indy 500
Those aren't just a southern thing. Some of the biggest events are up north.

Note to op- there's already a a E36 M3pile of events like this all over. There's even a E36 M3ty mock reality show on discovery dedicated to it.
That being said, I'd like to see a grm version. Mud trucks for 2k
Richmond, VA was the capital of the Confederacy. So while I would agree with you, plenty of your neighbors think differently.

I was gonna say, that looks a lot like much of Illinois...
I'll never understand "Mega-Trucks." All the suspension of a generation or 2 ago monster truck...wth skinny ass tractor tires? Get a budget, man!
Events have to have a sipee hole.
In reply to Appleseed :
Skinny ass tractor tires are the E36 M3 in deep soupy mud. They dig to the bottom and bite into the semi solid ground as opposed to just floating and flinging the mud around. My buddy has a set on his mud quad and they flat out rock in the bogs. It's a strange feeling when you dig down to something solid and pull the front tires as it just digs it's its way out.
