Anyone else catch the race at Mosport over the weekend? A Nissan Altima held off a Cayman, Civic Si, and a Mini JCW for the win in ST. It was like watching a bunch of guys from the local autocross fix their cars WAY up and hit the track. Lot's of great action in cars you actually recognize. I have to get out to some of these events in person!
ST class is usually really good racing. Spencer Pumpelly is usually near the front battling form the lead. Ryan Eversley is crossing over from the PWC series to run some races with the HART team. He seams to be enjoying himself over there. Liam Dwyer in the #26 Miata is a marine that lost part of his leg in Afghanistan and now has a prosthetic leg. Awesome guy that is really cool and great to talk to.
Jeff Mosing is based here locally so I see him at a lot of the local events. He runs a classic/specialty car dealership here in town.
All and all, it's usually really tight racing and the cars are pretty tightly matched with the BOP. It's a fun series to watch.
Of course with the GS cars, you have the fun of listening to the GT350RC's just purr down the track.
I love it when these guys come to COTA. I think they give some of the best racing of the weekend.
Watkins Glen they had a close race as well I have always been a fan of continental series. I think they just need to make some changes to the GS class to make it more affordable.
Yup, the wife and I love this series. Some of the best racing on TV by far. For the most part the drivers are running pretty hard, but keep things clean. That said, there's enough pucker moments to keep things interesting. Reminds me of the early days of World Challenge.
We went to see them at Mid-Ohio two or three times. Really good racing and a great track to spectate at. Too bad they aren't on this year's schedule.

Love watching these races when I get the chance.

I'll be there today; if you see a white NA Miata with VT plates, that's mine. Usually I park in the infield but might try the outfield this year.
