Sadly they won't let us drive it.
Our utilities are being moved underground.
Does the articulated frame count as 4 wheel steering as well?
Probably counts as having front a rear locking diffs too!

Good question. Plus we have several pickups and some pylon action going on as well.

It's definitely ground effect.
That's great. I certainly wasn't anticipating that! More like a new single seater high end Exocet. I guess that's almost what this is: It is high end and it is a single seater. Just not an Exocet...

Now don't be bursting all our childhood fantasies of driving tractors and stuff...

I'm pretty sure it's as a movable lithodynamic device.

my neighbors and I rented a small excavator this spring to do some work in all three of our yards. luckily a friend showed up who used to run one at a landscaping job and made effective use of the thing. half of the men in the neighborhood "joked" about wanting a turn on it.
we had half an hour till time to load it back up when the other neighbor is like, "well, you wanna teach us how to use it?"
man that was a blast. and I gotta say I'm pretty proud of my 3 year old; she sat on my lap and was moving dirt after about one minute of trial and error, just figuring it out.
You can rent them for 24 hours from Home Depot for like $3/400 with trailer. I would consider that a good birthday party toy.

Many, many years ago, a friend and I were walking through campus late one night. Liquor might have been involved. We came across a a construction site. A front-end loader was parked across from a backhoe. He jumped into one of the machines and, with much excitement, yells at me, "Dinosaur fight!"
After a short pause, we decided that maybe it was best to just stop right there.
Whatever you choose to call a front end loader ....like the one on my JD4410 with said tooth bar is extremely therapeutic in relieving stress whether induced or just made up as an excuse to tear E36M3 UP!!!
Maybe it’s time for a vacation:

This happened nearby back in 2006.
" When questioned by authorities, the young men told officials that they had been at a party when one of them suggested that they go play with some construction equipment. One of them had a key. All three told police that they did not intend to cause any damage, but that when one of them accidentally hit a trailer with a backhoe, they “all thought it was funny.” After that, they started ramming pieces of equipment together. None of them had worked at the site or for any of the companies involved. "
How many of us have been one key away from some serious felonies? Don't answer that
EDIT: more details here

"Bruette suffered the biggest loss from the damage. Bruette, owner of Precision Pool Inc. of Springfield, sustained $208,693 worth of damage to a forklift, an excavator and a loader, according to court documents. The men also damaged a crane, a trailer, a utility trailer and a lift.
Four contractors working the site sustained damage to property and equipment. Damage totaled $324,717. A Caterpiller motor grader was tipped on its side. A 50-foot trailer was rolled down a hill. The forklift was used to destroy the cab of an excavator, according to court documents.
In court documents, police interviewed Bacus who told officers he and Walters wanted to ride dozers. Walters had a key that would start dozers and he knew of a construction site. Bacus said he was operating a backhoe when he accidentally hit a trailer with the arm. He told officers they all thought it was funny, so they decided to push the trailer down a hill and pushed over a couple other dozers, according to court records."

To be honest a lot of big construction equipment dont have unique keys for each one. I think i still have my key set from working at the local county years ago that had a key that would start each brand of equipment, one key worked on the the CAT's, one key worked on all the John Deere's, etc.
I know all of our equipment had a key-operated battery cut off switch and was usually located behind a panel that had one of our own padlocks and that was more of how we kept any equipment from getting stolen.
One time I saw a stolen forklift nearly go off a pier and into Pearl Harbor. It would've came to rest right next to or on top of the USS Utah. Luckily, the drunken sailor who was on the joy ride avoided the edge of the pier and came to stop before plunging into the briny deep. In the end it was just a close call and no damage was done.
